So you may be a food producer or manufacturer that already sells your goods to the UK market. You may even already export overseas.

What next? There is a world of opportunity out there to reach out into new markets. However it can be a daunting prospect if you are not sure where to start. With Brexit imminent, it is vital to look worldwide for future trade and growth.

We have shared a link below that gives a vast amount of information such as timing, research, opportunities, practicalities, contact details and much more. It has been written by the UK Food and Drink Exporters’ Association (UKFDEA) and the Food and Drink Federation (FDF).

With many foodstuffs containing animal products such as meat, dairy and egg, if these are being sent outside the EU then you may well need an ‘Export Health Certificate’ EHC signed by official veterinary surgeons such as ourselves. We are always happy to answer any queries on this aspect of the export to see if you might be able to proceed – there are over 1500 EHC available to send worldwide. Our website has a useful tool here whereby you can search by country and product as to what you can send where.

We are associate members of the UKFDEA and in contact with the FDF and we also work closely with other industry bodies such as the Department for International Trade and the Chambers of Commerce.
