Official Veterinarians
As an Official Veterinarian, you will inspect consignments, review supporting documentation, and certify Export Health Certificates. You will deal directly with exporters and answer technical and regulatory queries.
You may be based at a single site or work across multiple locations, depending on operational need.
We are looking for vets with strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and a practical approach to problem-solving. Flexibility and willingness to travel are important.

We can accommodate full time, part time or zero hours/locum positions, including sole traders and contractors. You must be MRCVS eligible, although we can also arrange certificate of sponsorship/visa for overseas applicants.

Current Vacancies
We are currently hiring for a full time (40 hours p/w) OV in the London & South region.
The ideal person will have had experience in this field. The main job requirements are a great eye for detail, flexibility, and willingness to travel as part of the working day; whilst using your veterinary expertise to ensure the safety of public and animal health.
Day-to-day tasks include: –
- On-site ID check of products for export
- Review of supporting evidence provided to sign EHCs
- Refer to guidance notes and relevant legislation
- Stamp and sign EHCs
- Deal with exporter queries/advice
- Maintain good working relationships with other staff on site
The role requires travel to different locations within the region, (most locations are less than 1-1.5 hours travel away). Weekly working hours are 40, with flexibility in hours required between Monday to Saturday. There may be occasional opportunities to travel and work at other locations within the UK.
A full driving license and own car are essential.
