IVC Evidensia has appointed Ioana Dobre BVetMed MSc MRCVS as Managing Director of Amivet Ltd. Ioana joins the leadership group within IVC’s Farm Vets team and reports to Paul Horwood, Head of Farm.
Ioana has more than ten years of experience in veterinary public health, regulation and export support. Her background spans local authorities, FSA, Defra and industry, with a focus on SPS controls, export certification and supply-chain compliance. She has led projects for food manufacturers, logistics partners and retailers, supporting efficient documentation, traceability and regulatory assurance.
After graduating from veterinary school, she completed a Master’s degree in Public Health and Food Safety in Romania. She is a Council Member of the Veterinary Public Health Association, where she advises on certification matters and contributes to discussions on public-health standards within the profession.
In her new role, Ioana will lead Amivet’s strategy, operations and technical delivery. Key areas include strengthening the veterinary team, improving processes for exporters, and developing services for customers who work with complex certification or multi-country supply chains. She will work closely with the IVC Farm Vets team to align Amivet’s work with wider farm-to-fork activity across the group.
Speaking to Ioana, she said she is “committed to continuing Amivet’s operational delivery and supporting customers with clear, efficient certification processes”. She added that collaboration across the Farm Vets team will play a key part in meeting growing demand for export support and strengthening the role of vets in farm-to-fork compliance.
Amivet Exports provides Export Health Certification, POAO import consultancy, auditing and farm-to-fork compliance support for customers across the UK and Europe. Amivet is a business tailored to its stakeholders’ needs, small enough to provide close support and part of a group large enough to offer strong technical depth and national reach.
