Amivet was proud to support the Veterinary Public Health Association (VPHA) Study Tour to Romania, bringing together veterinary public health professionals from DEFRA, APHA, the Food Standards Agency, private industry, certification services, academia, and independent veterinary practice.

The multi-day programme included visits to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Bucharest, Libearty Bear Sanctuary, Olympus Dairy Factory, and Penes Curcanul poultry processing facility, focusing on veterinary public health, food production systems, animal welfare, and international collaboration.

Ioana Dobre, Amivet Managing Director and VPHA Council member, supported the organisation of the visit in her home country alongside Romanian veterinary colleagues and alumni.

The study tour created valuable opportunities for professional exchange, networking, and Continuing Professional Development, while also showcasing Romanian culture, hospitality, and veterinary heritage.
