Our RCVS registered vets collectively offer over 35 years’ experience and in addition to OV export work are also available for occasional day or night locum work in first opinion, surgical referral practice or emergency work.

Andrew qualified as a vet in 1995 and after spending time in mixed and small animal practice, set up Amivet Ltd in 2010 and is now the sole director. He has been involved in export certification work since 2004. He travels extensively in the UK to advise and meet the needs of a variety of different clients and enjoys good connections with many industry associations.
Andrew gained the RCVS Certificate in small animal surgery in 2002 and can work independently or as part of a vet practice team. He is fully up-to-date with his CPD and has his own car and full VDS cover. He is an RCVS advanced practitioner in small animal surgery, as well as the Chairman of the North West region of the BSAVA (British Small Animal Veterinary Association) and a member of the BSAVA congress committee.
Andrew keeps at the forefront of veterinary practice by providing locum cover that includes referral surgery, first opinion and emergency small animal practice. Outside of work he enjoys the gym, keeping fit, DIY, hillwalking, obstacle racing and the great outdoors.
Jemma qualified from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1997 and started working in mixed practice in Yorkshire. During this time she built up a wide variety of skills in both companion animal and farm animal care.
She currently works as a locum veterinary surgeon throughout the north of England.
Jemma joined Amivet in 2015 after qualifying in veterinary product exportation and is now part of the team providing essential services. Outside of work Jemma is a keen gardener who also takes part in open water swimming events.
