As director of Amivet, Andrew travels the length and breadth of the UK to meet the needs of a variety of different clients. He enjoys good links with APHA (Animal & Plant Health Agency) and DIT (Department for International Trade).
Andrew gained the RCVS Certificate in small animal surgery in 2002. He has knowledge of a wide range of medical and surgical procedures and can work independently or as part of a vet practice team. He is fully up-to-date with his CPD and has his own car and full VDS cover. He is an RCVS advanced practitioner in small animal surgery, as well as the Chairman of the North West region of the BSAVA (British Small Animal Veterinary Association).
Andrew keeps at the forefront of veterinary practice by providing locum cover that includes referral surgery work and first opinion small animal practice. Outside of work he enjoys keeping fit, DIY, hillwalking, obstacle racing and the great outdoors.
Jemma qualified from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1997 and started working in mixed practice in Yorkshire. During this time she built up a wide variety of skills in both companion animal and farm animal care.
She currently works as a locum veterinary surgeon throughout the north of England.
Jemma joined Amivet in 2015 after qualifying in veterinary product exportation and is now part of the team providing essential services. Outside of work Jemma is a keen gardener who also takes part in open water swimming events.
